アメリカ生まれ。88年から日本に永住。湿版光画家、日本文化研究者、日本芸術文化国際センター芸術顧問。epa通信社日本支局長を経て、2012年より日本文化を海外に紹介する企画に携わる。国内の媒体を始め、「ナショナル・ジオグラフィック」「GEO」「家庭画報INTERNATIONAL」などに広く作品を寄せる。著書に『俺たちのニッポン』,『日本力』(松岡正剛氏との共著)ほか多数。文化庁 長官表彰(文化発信部門)被表彰者

Everett Kennedy Brown is a recipient of the Japanese Government's Culture Commissioner's Award for promoting Japanese culture through his work as a photographic artist and writer of books on cultural topics in Japanese. Originally from Washington D.C., he has lived in Japan for over twenty-five years. His photographic work has appeared in such leading media as National Geographic, GEO, The New York Times, Le Monde and is exhibited at museums and galleries in Japan and abroad. His work is featured regularly on NHK television and has been exhibited at the DAVOS World Economic Forum meetings. His TEDx talk on photography and cultural memory can be viewed at:
